A Tasmanian local, Konrad Park lives a rich and musically varied life directing his many ensembles, performing original live instrumental music. These include the Konrad Park Quintet (modern jazz), Simon Patterson Trio (modern jazz) and the Stickrad Quintet (classical/ contemporary filmic music). As a Chapman stick artist, Konrad performs, teaches and composes from this ten stringed tapping instrument.
Konrad's musical diversity, gathered over his four decades as a rhythm section artist and drummer, allows him to contribute on multiple fronts to Tasmania’s dynamic and rich musical legacy.
